Sebastian is passionate about making software secure by designing it well. Ideally in a way that actually boosts productivity and developer happiness. In his mind it is more fun to work proactively with security than handling vulnerabilities and incidents in production.
He often works with analyzing the security of different customers’ software architecture and development life cycles. Typically in projects where security is a core requirement and especially if that includes working on cryptography, secure communications, identities and distributed systems. Otherwise he spends much of his time developing and auditing security critical code.
Sebastian likes to spend his spare time either with his family, a good book or watching football (soccer, and preferably at the stadium). He enjoys carpentry and building things in the physical world as well, but more often finds himself immersed in obscure Wikipedia pages instead.
