Today, we employ around 200 employees – and as cybercrime grows, we need to grow. To support that goal, we are now looking for a Software Engineer who wants to create advanced security solutions in our Secure Development domain. 

Secure Development

Applications and custom solutions are currently popular targets for threat actors. In 
modern application development, security must be present throughout all aspects of the development process. Our engagements span from AppSec-related security 
workshops, educating organizations in secure coding and DevSecOps, to longer 
assignments where we write code responsibly as integrated team members. We are a cyber tech company with our own custom software and services that we leverage both during assignments and with our clients.  

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Truesec, you will be part of a unique group of developers with a strong interest in security. We offer great opportunities for development, but also encourage individual initiatives. There is opportunity to both participate as a long-term developer in business-critical client solutions, as well as engaging in AppSec-related activities.

Truesec has no particular interest in common individual web development. Instead, our commitment to quality and security means that we strive for long-term engagements with entire teams to help clients with solutions that require structure, seniority, and maturity.

Your Potential Background

We expect you to be able to work individually but always as part of the team, always striving for excellence and continuous growth while building secure and structured solutions. You should also have a strong background in system design and development of high performant applications. You’ll never have to feel alone – instead, learn from your peers, become a valued contributor, and share your own thoughts and experiences.

In short, we believe your previous experience could include:
• Long-term experience as a developer in Java EE, Spring or equivalent.
• Large-scale distributed systems.
• High interest in IT security (and want to learn even more).

If you have experience in any of the following, we will consider it a bonus:
• Kotlin/Go/Python.
• Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Linux.
• Microservices architecture.
• Applications in crypto/security.
• Spring Boot.
